Cleaning and Maintenance

Keeping your Bertolini kitchen spotless is easier than you think.

To sanitize your furniture, follow the recommendations below:

  • Cleaning should be done with a cloth slightly dampened with water and mild soap.
  • Do not let water accumulate on furniture, always keep it dry.
  • When cleaning the inside of cabinets, leave them open to dry thoroughly or use dry cloths to remove excess water.
  • Do not use corrosive products on the surface of furniture, such as alcohol, soap, or bleach. Never use sponges, steel wool, brushes, or other abrasive products that can scratch and wear down the surface.
  • Avoid storing salt, vinegar, lemon or other acidic substances directly in contact with the furniture.
  • Furthermore, do not leave packaging containing corrosive products such as bleach, wax, disinfectants, etc., in direct contact with the furniture, as they may damage the finish.
  • To clean glass doors, use only glass cleaner with a clean cloth or paper towel.
  • Handles should be cleaned with a cloth slightly dampened in warm water. For a deeper clean, you can use liquid coconut soap. After application, remove all soap residue and dry the surface with a clean cloth. For chrome handles, you can use silicone-based car wax to add shine.
  • For casters and feet, use only a soft, clean cloth dampened with water. Do not use solvents or abrasives. It is also recommended to apply a small amount of lubricating oil to the caster bearings, which will help extend the life of the accessory.

To keep your steel furniture looking good for many years, follow these recommendations:

  • During daily use, avoid slamming doors and drawers, and make sure they are closed correctly, avoiding collisions between one piece and another, as this can damage their finish.
  • Don't cut food or use sharp objects directly on the countertops to avoid scratching them. Use cutting boards for this routine!
  • To avoid scratches, make sure that decorative pieces, lampshades and others, have felt or similar protection on their bases.
  • Avoid placing hot objects (pans, irons, dishes, etc.) directly on the surface of the furniture.
  • Avoid contact between your furniture and moisture. Do not leave damp cloths on surfaces.
  • Do not leave your furniture in direct contact with the sun or under excessive sunlight, this can cause wear to the finish, in addition to damaging the aesthetics of your product.
  • Never climb or lean on doors and drawers or place excessive weight on them; this causes parts to become unbalanced and occasionally malfunction, in addition to being dangerous.
